My name is Megan Gent, and I’m very excited to join the Montessori in Motion community as a Primary Teacher! I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology as well as an International Montessori Teaching Diploma from the North American Montessori Center. Since 2019, I have worked in early childhood education as a teacher, administrator, and specialist supporting childcare providers, and each of these roles has deepened my love for guiding children in their early years.

I am originally from rural New York and recently moved to Tacoma, Washington, where I’m excited to build connections in both the classroom and the community. I especially enjoy spending time outdoors with the children and encouraging creativity through process-based art experiences. I believe in fostering independence, curiosity, and joy in learning, and take great pride in supporting each child as they grow.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love hiking, reading, crocheting, and spending time with my friends and family.
